Audit of accounts of a department is one of the most important tool for keeping check & balance on financial matters. It is empowered under the Constitution of Islamic Republic of Pakistan with the aim to ensure the right use of public money. Pakistan Military Accounts Department is an attached department of Ministry of Defence, Pakistan; mainly responsible for audit of the accounts of Pakistan Army and its sub-divisions. It has offices all over Pakistan in the cantonments and plays very important role in audit of accounts of Military.
Civilians are appointed in the Military Accounts Department as Senior Auditor BS-16 and Junior Auditor BS-14 through the Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC). Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) advertises the posts, conducts the test and interview and then recommends the suitable candidates against the posts of Senior Auditor BS-16 and Junior Auditor BS-14.
Pakistan Military Accounts Department (PMAD) is an attached Department of Ministry of Defence mainly responsible for making payments to the Armed Forces, maintaining accounts thereof and rendering financial advice to defence authorities. It also has a well established internal audit mechanism in the form of Local Audit offices functioning under the Controller of Local Audit (Defence Services).
Military Accounts Department deals with payments, accounting and internal audit in respect of three Defence Forces, Defence Production Division and Inter Services Organizations Establishment.
Military Accounts Department through Ministry of Defence, Pakistan has requested Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) to process the case for recruitment against the one thousand & seven (1007) posts of Senior Auditor BS-16. Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) has advertised the 1007 posts on its website on 01.02.2019 and in Newspapers 0n 04.02.2019.

Temporary, likely to become permanent, in PAKISTAN MILITARY ACCOUNTS DEPARTMENT, MINISTRY OF DEFENCE.
Second Class or Grade ‘C’ Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration (Finance/Accounting)/ Commerce/ Economics/ Statistics/ Mathematics or equivalent from a University recognized by HEC.
ICMA Operational Level Certificate from ICMA after Graduation.
20-28 years plus five (5) years general relaxation in upper age limit.

JOB RESPONSIBILITY OF SENIOR AUDITOR BS-16:-
A Senior Auditor BS-16 is to conduct the audit of accounts of Pak Army and submit his report therein; making sure that all expenditures are lawful and no violations are made..
CAREER PROGRESSION AND SALARY OF SENIOR AUDITOR BS-16:-
The salary of SENIOR AUDITOR BS-16 is around 45000 per month plus Government residences at place of duty. Senior auditor BS-16 is eligible for promotion as Audit Officer BS-17 after 05 years service.
