Excise, Taxation & Narcotics Control Department Punjab is a very important department of the Government of the Punjab and is one very big source of Revenue generation for the Punjab Government. It is an old department and a very good place to build a career.
Punjab Public Service Commission has advertised 137 posts of Excise and Taxation Inspector BS-16 for appointment in the Excise, Taxation & Narcotics Department on regular basis, on 02.09.2018. It is a very good opportunity for making a good career.
The prescribed qualification for eligibility against the post of Excise and Taxation Inspector BS-16 is Degree from a recognized University. The age limit is 18 to 25 plus 5 years for male and 08 years for female candidates general candidates. Both Male & Female domiciled in Punjab are eligible to apply.
137 posts have been bifurcated as per quota and regions by the Excise & Taxation Department.
29 post for women quota, 05 posts for special persons, 06 posts for minority quota.

HOW TO APPLY ONLINE:-
PPSC prescribed test fee amounting to Rs.600 for the FOR SUBMISSION of application. The application will be submitted online after depositing the fee.

SYLLABUS FOR ONE PAPER MCQ 100 MARKS:-
100 MARKS MCQ of 90 minutes duration of the following syllabus will be held by PPSC:
“Pakistan Studies, Current Affairs, Islamic Studies, Geography, Basic Mathematics, English, Urdu, Everyday Science and Basic Computer Studies”
Negative marking for one wrong answer is done (-0.25 mark) usually by PPSC.
HOW TO PREPARE FOR THE PAPER:-
PPSC usually takes test / paper within month or two after publishing the posts, so one should prepare himself/ herself without wasting any time.
Pakistan Studies, Current Affairs, Everyday Science, Geography, Basic Mathematics and Basic Computer Knowledge as MS Office, Browsing and e-mail.
The Inspector Excise & Taxation is eligible for promotion as Excise & Taxation Officer BS-17 after 5 years of service and then Deputy Director BS-18 after another 5 years of service. A Deputy Director BS-18 is eligible for promotion as Director BS-19 after 12 years service in BS-17 & above, subject to provisions of Service Rules.
